2020 is almost over.

Who's ready for this year to be over!? 23 days and counting.

There were a few big WTF moments this year!! Between the bush fires and COVID19, at face value, things weren't looking too great. I did however find many silver linings in the crazy, topsy-turvy world of 2020.

This year took everything out of me, and I have no doubt it did the same to many of you. I'm tired, I'm drained, but I'm also grateful and happy for how much I've grown. I love watching myself evolve, I'm becoming, then unbecoming, just to become again. I fell in love, fell out of love, felt grief like never before, felt relief when I submitted my final exam, felt true weightlessness when I jumped out of a plane. Given the circumstances and the world's situation, it's been one of the best years of my life (so far).

With my entire year forced online, between zoom meetings, Tik Toks, and the desire for hyper-connectivity, I've decided the best way to finish the year is with a little social detox. 2 weeks, no social media, pure focus on reading books, relaxing, and allowing myself to take the self-care time I need to reboot for the new year. I deleted the apps from my phone this morning, and in the spirit of true transparency, I'm already struggling. I am such a sucker for 'FOMO' (Fear Of Missing Out), and have this need to know what the latest headlines are or what my friends are up to. These feelings only furthermore express how much I need this detox. I want to hit the ground running in 2021 and have some big things planned that I can't wait to share with you all.

On that note, it's time to power off and reconnect with myself. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read my blog this year and the ongoing support you all show me, it means the world to me.

I'll see you all in the new year! Stay safe over the holidays and cherish the time you have with your loved ones. When safe to do so, embrace them with a hug every chance you get. Sending you all virtual hugs this holiday season.

Love,

Nova xo
